Branding Expert Dives into New Role at B-Corp Agency

We're excited to announce that branding expert Rob Osler has returned back to his hometown of Boise to lead our team as managing director. His past roles include director of brand strategy at Microsoft and senior vice president at Salt Branding. 

“Rob’s expertise and experience will be immensely helpful to Oliver Russell as we build brands for organizations interested in elevating their social impact,” said Russ Stoddard, founder and president of the agency. 

Osler has relocated to his native Boise from San Francisco, bringing more than 25 years of branding experience. Osler began his career as a copywriter in the early 90s before honing his core specialties in brand strategy and development as well as qualitative and quantitative market research.

“I’m excited to add my skills to Oliver Russell’s 27-year history of building strong brands that care about social impact,” Osler said. 

He's held director-level roles in brand strategy and management at both public companies and at top agencies, including Fitch and Landor Associates.He's also led branding programs at organizations such as CenturyLink and Teach for America.

Osler will help manage business development opportunities as well as provide operational support at Oliver Russell. Stoddard will remain involved with the strategic direction of the agency and as a senior adviser on client work as needed. The hire comes on the heels of Russ forming a new social impact consulting venture, Humanista. A lot is happening at Oliver Russell, that's for sure. 

To top off his list of talents, Osler's affinity for words extends to his work as part-time novelist, including one set in historical historic Downtown Boise.
